Established in 2008, PFD Electric embodies decades of industrial and commercial electrical expertise through its founders, Bob Pohlmeyer and John Wertin. Merging their expertise and forging a path marked by proficiency and dedication, they share a commitment to excellence.
The inception of PFD Electric stemmed from the shared vision to be a personal, quality-driven resource in the electrical services industry. We avoid the route of industry-standard general contractors, saving our clients the headaches and bottlenecks that come with it. Instead, our clients have our owners' numbers on speed dial - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Our motto, "Show Up. Give a F*ck. File your strut." epitomizes our dedication to superior service. Carrying that same commitment to professionalism throughout the company, employees undergo training through the Arizona Builders Alliance Electrical Program, which follows the well-renowned Mike Holt Curriculum.

The Breakdown
1975
Bob graduated from Lynn Vocational Technical Institute. Went on to serve his electrical apprenticeship, eventually earning Journeyman's License.
1981 -1988
Bob served a 7-year tenure at General Electric at the River Works Steam Turbine and Aircraft manufacturing plant, where he serviced electrical distribution and control systems and worked on large machine tools, radio-controlled overhead cranes and motor control applications.
1984
Bob obtained his Masters Electrician License.
1988
Relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, where Bob continued on to work with some of the largest industrial and commercial electrical contractors in the Phoenix Metro area.
1987
John Wertin began his career in the industry, serving as an apprentice for 5 years.
1997
Bob and John started working together for the same company in Phoenix, and their professional partnership began.
1998
John Graduated Arizona Builders Alliance program and earning his Journeyman's License.
2008
After 11 years of working together, Bob and John Wertin formed PFD Electric.
Present
PFD Electric celebrates it's 16th year in business as of 2024 and has grown from a 2-man operation to a 15-person business. We are proud and excited to continue the legacy that Bob and John have built.
