Journeyman Electrician (Commercial/Industrial)

About the Role
Journeymen are the heart of PFD Electric—and the reason we make sh*t happen. This position calls for a skilled trade professional capable of performing a wide range of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance across industrial and commercial facilities. From bottling plants and food processing lines to large-scale hospitality environments, this role keeps critical systems running safely, efficiently, and to spec.

While highly capable and experienced, our Journeymen also see every job as an opportunity to sharpen their technical execution, deepen their electrical and mechanical understanding, and help lead the next generation of electricians in the trade.

Reports To

Journeymen report directly to the Team Lead assigned to their job site for daily direction and work coordination.

  • Field-level concerns, scheduling issues, or manpower needs should be escalated to the Field Operations Director (JP Pohlmeyer).

  • Questions or feedback related to business operations, HR or personnel matters, systems improvements, or overall company processes should be directed to Samara Pohlmeyer, Director of Business Operations & Development. Samara leads the operational side of PFD, focusing on improving systems, supporting the team, and ensuring the company continues to grow in the right direction.

  • Bob Pohlmeyer and John Wertin (owners) serve as senior mentors and business owners, available for guidance, education, and broader company-related discussions that fall outside of daily operations. They provide leadership insight, mentorship, and support for long-term professional growth and company direction.

This structure ensures clear lines of communication across the company—so field operations run smoothly and everyone has access to the mentorship, systems, and resources they need.
