About the Role

 

Foremen are responsible for leading crews in the field and helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to PFD standards. This role combines strong electrical knowledge with leadership, planning, communication, and accountability on active jobsites.

Foremen serve as the connection point between field crews and company leadership, helping coordinate manpower, materials, workflow, and day-to-day project execution.

Core Field Leadership Responsibilities

  • Lead crews on commercial and industrial electrical projects from kickoff through completion.

  • Coordinate daily workflow, manpower, materials, and jobsite priorities.

  • Help keep projects productive, organized, and moving forward safely and efficiently.

  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, schedules, and field requirements.

  • Communicate clearly with field leadership, project teams, contractors, and customers.

  • Identify issues proactively and help problem solve in real time on active jobsites.

  • Ensure crews maintain strong workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail.

  • Support layout, installations, troubleshooting, equipment hookups, and field execution as needed.

  • Train, mentor, and develop apprentices and junior crew members in the field.

  • Maintain jobsite safety standards, organization, and accountability across the crew.

  • Help uphold the standard PFD Electric expects on every project we take on.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong commercial/industrial electrical experience.

  • Prior leadership or crew lead experience preferred.

  • Ability to read plans, manage details, and think ahead.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Reliable, organized, and accountable.

  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.

  • Someone who takes pride in the work and the people beside them.
